It lets you schedule meals from your phone, control portions precisely, and keep food fresh in a sealed 3.6 L hopper. The schedule is stored on the device, so it keeps feeding even if Wi-Fi drops, and there’s a backup battery option for power cuts.

Use dry pet food only, with kibble roughly between 5–12 mm. Very large, sticky or irregular pieces and wet food can cause jams and are not recommended.

In the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app you can set multiple meals per day, adjusting both the time and number of portions for each meal. This allows you to create a customised daily plan (for example, 3–5 small meals) that fits your cat’s routine.

If Wi-Fi goes down, the feeder continues to follow the last saved schedule, because it’s stored locally. In case of a power cut, the feeder can keep dispensing scheduled meals if you’ve installed backup AA batteries (not always included) in the emergency compartment.

With one adult cat and a normal daily ration, the 3.6 L hopper (around 1.8 kg of dry food, depending on kibble size) usually covers about 15–20 days. With multiple cats or larger portions, it will empty sooner, so always check the level regularly.

Remove the stainless steel bowl, lid and food container and wash them with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry thoroughly. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth and avoid getting water on the electronic parts or motor. Do not immerse the base in water.

The app is strongly recommended to set and adjust schedules, but basic manual feeding is still possible (for example via the physical button). For full control, history and notifications (low food, errors, etc.), it’s best to use the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app.
